Be Careful When you Are Planning for a baby

Getting pregnant and planning for a baby is the time when you should be very careful and take every step properly. Well there are few things that you should take care of when you are planning for a baby and these are stated below:

  • You should schedule a preconception visit so that your practitioner can review your health and medical history.
  • Go for a genetic carrier screening which will let you know if you or your partner has any serious inherited illnesses
  • You should start taking folic acid
  • Give up drinking alcohol or smoking if you planning for a baby
  • Check your caffeine intake as too much caffeine intake can cause risk of miscarriage
  • You should go for dental checkup and this is very important
  • Try to keep yourself in good mood and stay away from stress
  • Stay clear of infections when you are planning for a baby
